World War II and Vorean War Vet Honored at RiverWoods

RiverWoods Senior Living Community and Oak Glen Skilled Nursing hosted the 5th Annual Veterans Day Parade and Ceremony on Thursday at their campus in Lewisburg. The grand marshal for the parade this year was World War II and Korean War Veteran James Hostetler. The event honored 50 residents from both facilities who served in U.S. Armed Forces. Hostetler led the crowd in the pledge of allegiance. Lt. Colonel Peter Semanoff, a professor of military science at Bucknell University, took time to praise Hostetler during his keynote address, saying it was an honor just to be in his presence. The event also featured the Lewisburg Area High School Band and the color guard from Bucknell ROTC.
