NorthCentralPA.com reports an argument prompted a man to assault and put his hands around the throat of a juvenile boy.
42-year-old Pierre E. Exantus of Shamokin was arraigned Saturday on strangulation and assault charges after the victim went to the Shamokin Police Station on Aug. 15 claiming Exantus had strangled him during an argument at his home.
The boy told police Exantus grabbed him by his throat and squeezed, pushing him up the stairs. Exantus is also accused of taking the victim’s bedroom door off its hinges, throwing his mattress down the stairs and allegedly headbutting the victim on the left side of his face. Exantus was released on bail.
