WINFIELD – Necessity is the mother of invention for one Valley mom. Mary Tiffin of Winfield is an example of that adage. As a runner and single mother, Tiffin found she needed to work out after dark.
RunLites are gloves that have powerful lights on the back of the hand. During the two-year development process, Tiffin realized Run Lites would appeal to a wider audience, “I developed Run Lites so I could exercise in the evenings.”
During the two-year development process, Tiffin realized Run Lites would appeal to a wider audience, “Dog walkers, hunters, fishers, campers…anyone that needs hands-free access to light, is really the perfect candidate for a RunLite.”
The gloves come in a variety of styles and fabrics. Tiffin has a patent pending on the design and RunLites will be available online in January at www.gorunlites.com. She is one of three finalists in the InnovateHER competitions from the Bucknell Small Business Development Center. (Jennifer Wakeman)
