SUNBURY – There was low voter turnout at the polls yesterday for the General Election. Voter turnout was way down with not many big local contests. Election officials tell us 35 percent of registered voters cast ballots in Snyder County.
Northumberland and Union Counties each reported 31 percent of registered voters participated in the election. The lowest voter turnout came in Montour County with only 27 percent voter turnout, despite a race for school board in the Danville School District. (Ali Stevens)
