SUNBURY— It’s time for an upgrade. So says the Shikellamy school board. Directors discussed technology improvements as well as bleacher replacement at their work session Thursday.
Wendy Wiest, School Board President says these projects can no longer be ignored, “We’ve had a lot of deferred maintenance go on in the district with the challenges we’ve had with the budget in recent years. We’re looking at taking on some of the projects that have been let go for several years.”
Wiest says the $175,000 price tag to put Google Chrome on all district laptops is money well spent.
Directors will vote on this and $55,000 to replace the damaged gymnasium bleachers at their meeting May 14. (Lauren Koch)
