TURBOTVILLE – Tyler Technologies, the company that is doing the county wide property tax reassessment in Northumberland County, met with property owners Tuesday night.
The informational meeting was in Turbotville, it was the company’s chance to explain the reassessment process. The meetings coincide with the arrival of property assessment data collectors in the Warrior Run School District area.
Over the next several weeks, residents can expect to see Tyler employees in bright yellow vests and county-issued ID badges visiting each tax parcel within the district. Presenters at the meeting stressed that the data checks are exterior only, and that no data collector will ask to enter any structure.
Attendees received updates on the timetable for the project including how residents can appeal their properties assessed values. Once the Warrior Run visits are completed, attention turns to the southern and southeastern regions. Additional information sessions in these areas will be announced.
