SUNBURY- – Personnel issues continue to plague the Sunbury police. At Monday’s city council meeting Mayor David Persing announced that an executive session was held to discuss an ongoing police personnel investigation.
Last month two officers were placed on unpaid suspension after being accused of improper behavior. Persing told us the current investigation is related to these incidents and that a public statement would be issued at the appropriate time. “Everything’s up front. We just have to remember it is personnel.”
