Trial Delayed for Mifflinburg Man Charged with Teen Sexual Assault

The Daily Item reports a sexual assault trial that was supposed to begin Monday in Union County has been delayed. The newspaper reports Union County Judge Michael Piecuch granted a defense request for a continuance for 44-year-old Timothy Dowhower of Mifflinburg. Dowhower is charged with sexually assaulting a teenage girl in Kelly Township. The trial has been pushed back to late January so an expert witness could be hired. Dowhower faces three counts of aggravated indecent assault and four counts of unlawful contact with a minor among other charges.
