McCLURE – A husband and wife were pronounced dead at the scene of a crash Friday morning in McClure. 80-year-old Dale Bishop and 77-year-old Shirley Bishop of Beaver Springs died after their vehicle hit a tractor-trailer on Route 522 around 6:45a.m.
Selinsgrove State Police say the tractor-trailer, driven by 54-year-old Jeffrey Allen of Altoona, crossed the center line and struck the Bishop’s vehicle. The trailer was hauling trusses, which spilled onto the road.
Emergency crews were on the scene for several hours following the crash, and the investigation continues. (Sara Bartlett)
