Night work on I-80 in Montour County begins Monday
MONTOURSVILLE – A multi-year highway and bridge rehabilitation project on Interstate 80 gets underway in Montour County Monday. Two bridges in the eastbound lanes east of Route 54 to the Columbia County line are the first step in the project.
One eastbound lane will be closed starting at 7 p.m for milling and paving bridges over Mahoning Creek and Kase Run. There will be crack sealing in the westbound lanes from Kase Run to Route 54. All work will be completed by 9a.m Tuesday.
The main project is expected to begin in early April 2016 and be completed by late October 2018. This work includes concrete slab replacement, paving and bridge rehabilitation. (Jennifer Wakeman)
