SUNBURY – There have been many samples from The Valley test positive for the West Nile Virus in recent weeks and the Department of Environmental Protection is looking to put a stop to it. The DEP will conduct a mosquito control operation Tuesday in parts of Milton, Lewisburg and Buffalo Township. Spraying will occur via truck-mounted equipment in residential and recreational mosquito habitats.
Weather conditions and other unexpected events could delay or cancel the operation. If conditions do not allow the spraying to occur, it will take place the following evening. (Matt Catrillo)
