SUNBURY — One man is dead after fire broke out in an apartment at a high-rise in Sunbury Saturday afternoon. The fire started in a second-floor apartment at the Scott Tower apartment building on Market Street.
The man killed in the fire was identified as 32-year-old Hernan Feliciano, who lived in apartment 214 on the second floor. He was pronounced dead around 4 p.m. inside his apartment. Another person was taken to the hospital for treatment of smoke inhalation. The cause of the two-alarm fire is still under investigation but is said to be accidental. About a half-dozen residents were displaced by the fire.
An autopsy will be done on Feliciano on Tuesday at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown. A cause of death will be released by Coroner James Kelley following the autopsy. Jamie Quinn of the Sunbury Police Department and state police fire marshal Kirk Renn are investigating. (Ali Stevens)
