RIVERSIDE – Volunteers were called out to a barn fire earlier today in Northumberland County. Crews from several companies responded to the fire in Rush Township. Southside Fire Company Chief Nick Fowler said that they were summoned around 12:30pm for the fire along the Snydertown Road.
He said, when crews arrived on scene they found that the fire was actually between two silos and only minimal damage was reported. Volunteers from Southside, East End Fire Company, Danville Fire Department and Danville Ambulance responded. No injuries were reported.
