MIDDLEBURG — A man from Beavertown died in a traffic accident in Snyder County Friday evening. State police tell us, 31-year-old Dustin Leitzel was driving south on Route 104 just north the intersection with the New Berlin Mountain Road. His car crossed the centerline and hit another vehicle head-on. He was not wearing a seatbelt according to troopers.
Police say, in the second vehicle, were Deborah and John Lacass of Middleburg, both had minor injuries and were taken to Geisinger Medical Center in Danville. A nursing supervisor says Deborah was admitted and is fair condition, John is in the hospital, but not listed as ‘admitted.’ Both were wearing a seatbelt when that crash happened around 6:20pm Friday.
Snyder County Communications tells us, they sent volunteer fire and ambulance crews from Middleburg, and Mifflinburg. The county district attorney, coroner, and Middleburg police also were at the scene.
