LEWISBURG — East Buffalo Township residents want to continue the conversation about low-income housing. The Union County Housing Authority took their original plan for Penn Commons off the table Wednesday, but Bruce Quigley, executive director, says the authority remains committed to the project.
Stan Zellers, President of the Susquehanna Valley Conservatives tells WKOK they will continue to engage in dialogue with public officials about the 31-unit affordable housing project. Zellers says the group’s position is that housing should be dispersed throughout the county, not concentrated in one area. He added, “The Union County Housing Authority should listen to the people who live here.”
The authority has yet to outline any further plans for the 2.3 acre site. (Jennifer Wakeman)
