LEWISBURG – A Lewisburg theater is making international headlines. The Campus Theatre in Lewisburg is listed on the “17 of The Most Stunning Movie Theaters in the World” on the travel website swifty.com. The theater was one of only three on the list from the U.S., along with two in California. The list included movie houses from France, Budapest, India and other locations around the world.
Jessica Paquin, the Director of Outreach and Fundraising at The Campus Theatre, says many people tour the theatre, so it’s possible they hosted someone from the website,”People have come in from Chicago, I had an art deco enthusiast come in, someone from India come in, so I give tours all the time and once I tell the history of the place and talk about how great it is, they’re pretty much hooked so it’s quite possible that someone from the website may have come in.”
The Swifty.com contributors commented on the diversity in programming at the Campus Theatre.
Paquin is thrilled the theatre has gained international attention, “It’s cool because we didn’t write that for them. They obviously know this place, they’ve obviously looked into it, and obviously think its as great as we do.”
