LEWISBURG – The Buffalo Valley Recreational Authority is excited to be hosting its first ever gala this Thursday.  Capital Campaign Chair Sandra Cook says the gala will include an o’dourves hour, open bar, a seated dinner, and even a red carpet.

She says, “We have a red carpet, we are going to do some fun pictures out front.  We’re having o’dourves hour, we have an open bar.  Ard’s Farm is doing a plated, sit down meal.  We’ll have dancing the night away, and we will be having a silent raffle auction with fabulous prizes.  It should be a super fun night.”

The gala is a part of the BVRA’s first capital campaign that supports facilities and programs.  Cook also says that the funds raised at the Gala will support the Buffalo Valley Community Pool, “The Lewisburg was in need of dire of some significant renovations.  A lot of the renovations are behind the wall, but also some fantastic programs are coming on board with water polo, master swim classes, some exercise fitness programs in the morning and extended pool hours.”

The Gala will be held at the Cellars at Brookpark Farm starting at 7:30 p.m.  Tickets are $55 per person or a table of 8 for $400.  For more information visit bvraannualcampaign.org/gala/.  (Emily Engle)
