POINT TOWNSHIP — A bartender at the American Legion in Point Township has been charged with stealing thousands of dollars from the legion safe. 52-year-old Karen Baney of Selinsgrove was allegedly caught on surveillance video taking the money from the safe.
Point Township police say the amount stolen was more than $4,000. Baney was arraigned Friday on two felony counts of theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property. She was released on bail. Police say the theft was reported on May 2. (Ali Stevens)
