World War II Era Tank Restoration Debut in Berwick Sunday

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

BERWICK – The Lady Lois restoration debut is this Sunday in Berwick. The fully restored Lady Lois Stuart Tank will be unveiled and the factory workers who built her will be honored.  During the World War II era, 15,000 of the Stuart Tanks were built at ACF in Berwick.  

 

David Kovach, a Columbia County Commissioner who is president of the Stuart Tank Memorial Association, told us, their celebration will have the tank, some of the factory workers who built her, and two of the men who fought in the war. 

This Sunday at 1 pm they will unveil the completely restored Stuart Tank they call ‘Lady Lois.’ The parade, with the tank moving along the route, will go from Berwick City Hall to the Stuart Tank Museum where Lady Lois will be on display.
