SUNBURY — There is a strike at the Anthracite Industries plant this morning. Some of the 30 Teamsters who work at the coal processing facility are on the picket line. Jimmy Little, president of the Teamsters local 764 in Milton, said the union rejected the companies ‘final offer’ yesterday.

The main issue he said is the amount employees have to pay for health care insurance—he said the company is asking for too much. There are picket lines along Anthracite Road at the facility not far from Sunbury. Little says they are hoping for more negotiations in the future—so they can resolve the health care ‘pay-in’ issue and get the 30-Teamsters back to work at Anthracite Industries.
