Work on River Drive (Route 2006) near the railroad crossing in Mahoning Township, Montour County has been extended. The project is now expected to be completed in late September. A car and truck detour will be in place using Clinic Drive, Route 11, Ridge Drive and Mount Zion Drive. Starting in July PennDOT began removing a failing retaining wall between River Drive and the railroad tracks and replacing it with a new retaining wall. Work also includes pipe replacements, paving and guiderail upgrades.
