NORTHUMBERLAND – Work will begin today on building an access road off Route 147 to begin clearing work for the new CSVT river bridge crossing. The access road will connect to Route 147, just south of Ridge Road between Northumberland and Montandon.
Route 147 will be reduced to a single lane intermittently over the next several weeks for shoulder work and large tree clearing equipment. Flaggers will be controlling traffic during daylight hours. Minor delays are expected during peak travel times. (Ali Stevens)
