POINT TOWNSHIP — Work will begin this week to prevent rocks from falling onto Route 11 in Point Township. PennDOT says a barrier will be placed along the shoulder to protect against a possible slide on the northern slope of the road.
The eastbound passing lane of the highway will be shortened so the westbound lane can be moved, to make room for the barrier placement. There will be lane restrictions in place beginning on Thursday. Traffic will be controlled by flaggers. Work will be done during the day and should be complete by June 1. (Ali Stevens)
