HUMMELS WHARF – Boscov’s will need a new front window after a woman backed her car into it on Wednesday afternoon. The Daily Item reports 85-year-old Betty Kaufman of Hummels Wharf was driving out of a parking spot at the Susquehanna Valley Mall around 1 p.m., when she mistakenly hit the gas pedal.
The car went over the curb and crashed into the glass storefront in the sports department at Boscov’s. No injuries were reported. The large window panel completely shattered, leaving a hole in the front of the store. (Ali Stevens)
