Wolf thanks drivers who helped a baby get to the hospital for heart surgery

Governor Wolf took time to thank emergency responders and plow truck drivers on Tuesday as two feet of snow fell in some areas.  Wolf says one of the most dramatic examples of coordinated emergency response involved a 23 month-old heart surgery patient who needed to get to Danville from East Stroudsburg.

Wolf said, “PennDOT led the way with a plow train.  The state police went with the group to make sure they were safe.  The National Guard followed up to make sure that if anything happened they could help.”

Wolf also thanked local emergency responders and healthcare practitioners who made sure the baby was safe.
