WILLIAMSPORT — A 37-year-old Williamsport man drowned Saturday after jumping into the Susquehanna River near the Hepburn Street Dam. According to the Lycoming County Coroner’s Office, Tyler M. Lance of East Third Street was seen walking near the dam before entering the water for unknown reasons.
He was later found by a Geisinger Life Flight crew returning to their Montoursville base. The helicopter hovered overhead until rescue boats from the Williamsport Bureau of Fire reached him. State police are investigating.
