SHAMOKIN DAM — No major injuries reported after two accidents in Shamokin Dam over the weekend. State Police in Selinsgrove say an accident on the Old Trail at 8th Avenue involved two cars and happened just before 5 p.m. on Friday. 38-year old Jason Lehman, of Sunbury, was turning left onto 8th Avenue when he drove into the path of a car driven by 59-year old Gary Genth of Shamokin Dam. No injuries were reported in that accident.
On Saturday, a four vehicle crash was reported on Baldwin Boulevard near Routes 11 and 15. Police say it happened around 7:30 p.m. when 57-year old William Buch of Shamokin Dam lost control of his vehicle and struck the car driven by 25-year old Jesse Conrad of Selinsgrove, who was stopped to make a turn. Two other cars were stopped at a red light and were also struck by the cars after impact. Drivers in those vehicles were 24-year old Cody Seler of Beavertown and 30-year old Karen Dimassimo of Sunbury. Dimassimo suffered minor injuries. No other injuries were reported in that crash that slowed traffic on Routes 11 and 15 while clean-up was underway. (Sara Lauver)
