WATSONTOWN — A 97-year-old Watsontown man was struck by an SUV while crossing the street last week and remains hospitalized. Scott Gold is listed in fair condition at Geisinger Medical Center following the accident on Thursday in Delaware Township, Northumberland County.
State police say Gold tried to cross the northbound lane of the Susquehanna Trail around 8 a.m. when he was struck by the SUV, driven by a woman from McEwensville. Troopers say Gold was not using a crosswalk when he stepped into the road, so the driver will not be cited. (Ali Stevens)
