MIFFLINBURG – A Washingtonville man is in jail after pulled a rifle from his vehicle after a reported dispute. Mifflinburg Police say they were called to a convenience store in Mifflinburg December 25 after a report of a possible road rage incident. At the scene, police heard from witnesses who say the man pulled out an AR-15 rifle from his trunk and then fled the scene.
Police identified the man as 25-year-old Eugene Houseknecht III. Houseknecht was arrested January 2 with charges of terroristic threats, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person and possessing instruments of a crime.
He was released on $10,000 bail and has a preliminary hearing Tuesday before District Judge Jeffery Mensch. (Sara Bartlett)
