Wanted man apprehended after foot pursuit

police lightsSHAMOKIN DAM – A man wanted in Northumberland and Snyder Counties was apprehended in Shamokin Dam following a foot pursuit with police.  Shamokin Dam Police say Brad Ruhl provided a false name to police, while they were investigating a suspicious person complaint Tuesday night.

 

After further investigation, police learned that Ruhl was wanted for failure to appear in court on several theft charges.  After a search, police located Ruhl in the area of Stetler Avenue, who fled from police on foot.  Shamokin Dam police chased him down and he was arrested.   Ruhl was sent to Snyder County Prison and additional charges of resisting arrest and disorderly conduct are pending.  Shamokin Dam Police were assisted by Selinsgrove and Sunbury Police.  (Ali Stevens)
