Wanted couple from Snyder County found in California
MIDDLEBURG – A couple wanted on several charges in Snyder County are now behind bars in California. 42-year-old Craig Poust and 24-year-old Chanel Kantz, both of Port Trevorton, were arrested without incident.
The Snyder County Sheriff’s Office received information from a confidential informant on the couple’s whereabouts and police in California made the arrests. Poust and Kantz are being held in the Siskiyou County Jail, pending extradition back to Snyder County.
Police say the couple was charged in February with drug possession, and weapons violations. Police also suspect Poust and Kantz of drugging, sexually assaulting and photographing several women between 2013 and 2015. Arrest warrants were issued for both of them when they failed to appear in court on the drug and weapons charges. They have been on the run since then, but were taken into custody Wednesday.
