SPRING TOWNSHIP, SNYDER COUNTY – A 16-year-old male driving a farm tractor was taken to the hospital after being hit by another vehicle in Spring Township, Snyder County last Tuesday.
Troopers say the teen was taken to Geisinger for a suspected back injury, but a medical update is unavailable.
Troopers say the crash occurred when 39-year old Andrea Brininger of Beaver Springs was driving at a high rate of speed on Stage Road. That’s when troopers say she noticed the tractor on the road, slammed on the brakes, but hit the tractor head on. The teen was then ejected from the tractor and the tractor also overturned.
Troopers say Brininger was charged with a traffic violation and was wearing a seat belt.
