TURBOT TWP—No injuries were reported after a vehicle fire Saturday afternoon on Route 147 in Turbot Township, Northumberland County. Union County Communications dispatched the Milton Fire Department and EMS along with Turbot Township Fire Department to the scene on Route 147 near the Interstate 80 east on ramp just before 4 pm.

The Milton Fire Department says when they came upon the scene there was a minivan with a fire in the engine compartment spreading to the passenger compartment and nearby grass. Crews extinguished the fire with no injuries being reported.
