Valley Trucking Firm Adds Five Electric Semis to Fleet

WATSONTOWN — WOLF is reporting… A Northumberland County trucking company is adding electric semis to its fleet.  Watsontown Trucking, part of Patton Warehousing and Logistics, has introduced five electric Volvo truck tractors, becoming one of the first in the region to do so.

The company received a $1.8 million “Driving PA Forward” grant to support the trucks and charging stations. Director of Operations Jared Brokenshire says the EV semis, which can travel over 200 miles per charge, will serve Central Pennsylvania customers.

Watsontown Trucking also added EV jockey trucks for yard operations and hopes to expand its electric fleet in the next decade.
