Union County Veterans’ 4th of July Committee Awarded $20,000 Grant

PENNSYLVANIA – The Union County Veterans’ 4th of July Committee was awarded a $20,000 grant from America250PA’s first Semiquincentennial Grant Round for the 2026 Union County Veterans’ 4th of July Celebration commemorating the 250th Birthday of our Nation.   The committee says this funding enables them to enhance next year’s milestone celebration while continuing to honor veterans and difference makers in our communities.  “We are so excited to contribute to Pennsylvania’s celebration of the 250th Anniversary of the Signing of the Declaration of Independence and engaging as many of our neighbors as possible. We have always viewed our yearly celebration on the last weekend of June as the region’s pep rally to the 4th of July week.  We are so excited to get the 250th birthday party started in 2026 and bring some never-before seen events to Union County.”

The Union County Veterans’ 4th of July Committee said they are pleased to continue a decades-long tradition of honoring military service-members.

They invite those from throughout the region, state and nation to participate in the yearly events held on the last weekend in June.
