LEWISBURG – The Union County Commissioners are looking for volunteers to serve on the various boards and authorities in the county. The commissioners issued a statement calling for interested people to serve on the housing authority, redevelopment authority and several other boards.
Commissioner John Showers says the individuals can donate time and talent, and help the county balance citizen interest with the county’s mission and regulations. Board and authorities must be registered voters in the county. If you are interested, or wish to nominate someone, contact the commissioners office at http://www.unioncountypa.org.
Openings currently exist on the housing, industrial development, hospital, higher education and redevelopment authorities, as well as the affordable housing fund and library system boards, and the Union County Planning Commission.
