Spill cleanups coming up this week
UNION COUNTY – PennDOT says motorists will experience delays at two spill cleanups scheduled for this week in the Valley.
The first will occur Wednesday along Interstate 80 in Union County, that’s been rescheduled several times. PennDOT says the cleanup will take place on I-80 east just west of the Mile Run 199 exit in West Buffalo Township. Work will continue until about 4 p.m. There will be a lane restriction that may cause delays coming into the Valley.
The second worksite will occur Thursday on Route 11 at Ridge Road in Point Township, Northumberland County. Work will take place from approximately 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Work includes cleaning diesel fuel and gasoline from a recent vehicle crash. There will also be a lane restriction and expected delays.
