Two Projects Today on Route 147

MONTOURSVILLE — Today, a Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) crew will be performing pavement testing on Route 147 northbound on the approach to Central Susquehanna Valley Transportation (CSVT) River Bridge from the Snyder-Union side of the river. Motorists can expect the right (driving) lane to be restricted where work is being performed.  Work will be performed between the hours of 12:00 PM and 5:00 PM, weather permitting. Motorists should be alert, slow down, expect delays in travel, watch for lane shifts, and drive with caution through the work zone.

Motorists are advised that a concrete joint testing project will take place on Route 147 today between the Route 45 Exit in West Chillisquaque Township and the Ridge Road Exit in Point Township, Northumberland County. PennDOT crews will be performing the operation in the right (driving) lanes in each direction between the hours of 7:00 AM and 3:00 PM. This project is expected to take just one day, weather permitting. Motorists can expect alternating lane restrictions and are urged to drive with caution in the area.
