MOUNT CARMEL – Two people are in custody charged with distribution of synthetic cannabis, known as Spice. District Attorney Ann Targonski says Angel Luis Lopez and Bobbi Jo Lopez were arrested following a controlled buy of Spice over the weekend in Mount Carmel.
Immediately following the buy, a search warrant was obtained at the home where the drug transaction took place. Police recovered Spice in the home along with drug paraphernalia, including packaging and scales used to prepare the drug for distribution.
Angel and Bobbi Jo Lopez are accused of supplying Spice to both adults and juveniles in the local area. Targonski said the arrests will significantly slow the influx of Spice in our communities. Both suspects were jailed on $100,000 cash bail. (Ali Stevens)
