Two inmates charged with institutional vandalism

sci coal twp FEATSUNBURY — Charges have been filed against two Northumberland County prison inmates housed at SCI Coal Township.

 

District Attorney Tony Matulewicz tells us 20-year-old Damion Emburg has been charged for destroying furnishings in his cell and interfering with prison operations on September 21.  Also, 21-year-old Scott Bingaman has been charged for destroying furnishings in his cell.  He is accused of using a shelving unit to strike and shatter the glass security pane on his cell door.  He also is accused of interfering with routine prison operations.

 

Both inmates caused more than $700 dollars in damages each.  Charges have been filed with District Judge John Gembic in Shamokin.
