PAXINOS – Two people were hurt in an accident on Route 61 this Friday morning in Shamokin Township, Northumberland County. State police say 24-year-old Amanda Krallman of Trevorton was trying to turn left onto Route 61 from Irish Valley Road and drove into the path of a vehicle, driven by 66-year-old David Hilliard of Elysburg.
Krallman and Hilliard were both taken to Geisinger Shamokin Hospital. There conditions are not known. Traffic was slow for a time on Route 61 in the Paxinos area, following the accident around 6:45 a.m. (Ali Stevens)
