MONTOUR COUNTY — Two people face multiple charges and two people were hurt after two altercations turned ugly in Liberty Township, Montour County. The incidents occurred Sunday around 1 a.m. Both took place in a parking lot on Liberty Valley Road. Milton State Police say the first altercation started when 21-year-old Emily Daniel of Ocala, FL struck 29-year-old Jarrett Williams of Shamokin in the head with a glass mug. Williams suffered an injury as a result.
A second altercation took place between 39-year-old Philip Walker of Ocala, Florida, and 36-year-old Kyle Pekera, of Gainesville, VA. Police say Walker stabbed Pekera with a knife, causing serious injury.
Walker was charged with aggravated assault and simple assault. He was arraigned before Judge Douglas Brewer and committed to the Montour County Prison in lieu of $200,000 bail. Daniel was charged with simple assault and harassment. He was arraigned before Judge Brewer and was committed to the Columbia County jail in lieu of $25,000 bail. (Matt Catrillo)
