NORTHUMBERLAND – Two family-friendly “Countdown to Noon” events are planned in The Valley to ring in the New Year.
In Northumberland, the Priestley-Forsyth Memorial Library and King Street Park will host a Countdown to Noon event from 10 a.m. to noon. Families can enjoy preschool story-times, crafts, and appearances by costumed characters.
The Northumberland Fire Department will conduct the atom drop using their ladder truck near the park gazebo, complete with an electronic countdown display. Snacks will be available for purchase, and admission is free.
In Bloomsburg, the Seventh Annual Countdown to Noon is a family celebration of New Year’s today 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Bloomsburg Children’s Museum. The event features New Year-themed crafts, games, and a countdown at noon. Activities are included with museum admission, and the museum will close at 1:30 p.m.
