Two Accidents in Snyder County Monday

State police have released details about two accidents on Monday in Snyder County.

Around 3:30 p.m. a woman from Canada was driving on Fisher Road in Monroe Township and passed out for a brief moment.  She drove off the road and struck a ditch.  The woman and her passenger, also from Canada, were taken to Geisinger Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries.  Fisher Road was shut down at Park Road for about an hour following the accident.

Another accident was reported around 4 p.m. in Franklin Township on Paxtonville Road.  State police say a 17-year-old male was traveling west and drove across the eastbound lane and struck three mailboxes and a utility pole, before landing in the driveway of a home.  The driver sustained minor injuries in the accident.  He was cited for speeding.
