PORT TREVORTON – Selinsgrove state police are looking for a suspect who fled 10-days ago, after a strong arm bank robbery in the Port Trevorton area. Troopers say the incident occurred at the Northumberland National Bank in Union Township, Snyder County just before noon Saturday, February 26.
They say a white male went in the bank, gave a note to a tellers, the note told them, if they filled a folder with money, no one would get hurt. The suspect was given some money and fled on foot. That person rode away on a bicycle at the rear of the bank.
The suspect is a white male, wearing a dark colored sweatshirt with a “Rohrer” bus company logo, black face covering, black sunglasses, navy pants and dark “Nike” sneakers. He is about 5’ 9” to 6’ feet tall with a thin build.
Anyone with information is asked to call Selinsgrove troopers. No indication why information on the ‘be on the lookout’ was released long after the robbery.
