SHAMOKIN DAM – It’s called ‘public service,’ being elected or appointed to serve a government entity, but Joe McGranaghan saw it as an obligation to serve, and an opportunity to help. US Congressman Dan Meuser met Joe in 2008, and he knew Joe was a ‘super servant, “People like that build communities and without them, communities don’t thrive. Without people like Joe, communities go in the opposite direction.”
Congressman Meuser called Joe ‘a pillar of the community for more than 50-years’ and said the CSVT would not have been built without his help.’
Funeral services are set for Thursday, a visitation is at 10 am, and the funeral at 11, at St. Pius X church in Selinsgrove.
