SELINSGROVE – One of Pennsylvania’s U.S. Senators outlined his goals for a second term in office. At a campaign stop in The Valley last week, Sen. Pat Toomey told WKOK he has two items that will be at the top of his agenda if he’s reelected for another term, “One is to restore the kind of economic growth we should have so that people who want to work are able to work and that wages are rising rather than staying stagnant.”
Toomey says failed policies in Washington have kept the economy from growing.
National security is the other item on Toomey’s to-do list, “This President continues to diminish the risk posed by ISIS and continues to somehow think that everything is fine around the world. Everything is not fine. The world’s become a more dangerous place under this President and we need to play a leadership role. We need to eliminate the threat of ISIS.”
Three Democrats are vying for a chance to face Toomey in the November general election.
