HARRISBURG – One local businessman can’t run for election this spring.
A local republican candidate for state house has been thrown off Pennsylvania’s spring primary ballot. Tom Webb, owner of Spyglass Ridge Winery, submitted candidate’s petitions which contained errors. Both the circulators and some of the signers were ruled invalid.
A Commonwealth Court decision handed down Thursday indicated Webb’s petitions were invalid and inadequate. Webb was running against state house member Mike Stender in the 108th district in the GOP primary. No democrats filed petitions to be on the primary ballot.
