Three people charged after a traffic stop in Watsontown

arrest

WATSONTOWN – Watsontown police ended up charging three people after a vehicle stop Saturday.  Milton police helped Watsontown officers at the scene. They took a 31-year-old man, Billy Joe Hawley of Montandon, into custody because they say he was wanted for a parole violation in Union County. He was placed in the Union County prison.

Also on board that vehicle, they say the driver, 34-year-old Jeremy Reich of New Berlin, was taken into custody due to him consuming alcohol and his driving privileges being suspended from a previous DUI conviction.  Also, a woman from Northumberland cited for an open container violation. The traffic stop occurred about 12:30am Saturday on South Main Street at Pennsylvania Avenue.
