SUNBURY – The Daily Item reports three people were taken into custody following an incident involving a gun early Saturday morning in Sunbury. Police say around 2 a.m. they were called to 45 ½ Catawissa Avenue for a report of a man holding a gun to a woman’s head. The Daily Item reports 21-year-old Jammier Ali Rash Artis allegedly threatened to shoot and kill a woman and had fired the gun next to her head outside the residence. Police say the victim suffered hearing damage and burns on the neck due to the suspected muzzle flash.
Artis was arrested along with two other people inside a home at 45 ½ Market Street, where a large amount of cocaine was recovered. The other two suspects were identified as 43-year-old Ali Rashid Martin and 43-year-old Karen Dimassimo, both of Sunbury. They were all sent to Northumberland County Prison.
